A historic Norfolk town with a busy, vibrant centre, King’s Lynn attracts residents and tourists alike.
Mindful of the mix of visitors, and wanting to provide the best experience, whilst supporting businesses and heritage organisations, the brief from the client focussed on the need for digital signage to help identify and connect places with wayfinding information, specifically for visitors arriving into the train station.
Having seen our wayfinding totem signage installed in Boston, Lincolnshire, King’s Lynn Council contacted us to request signage which worked as effectively but utilised digital technology.
isGroup Signs manufactured and installed a single sided Way2Go digital totem featuring a 32” inch digital screen so that key information can be broadcast and updated remotely. The screen sits within aluminium housing and a WAY2GO internal frame which is powder coated to closely match existing signs. Plotted vinyl text and graphics is applied to the front and sides ensuring a match to existing signs. The design of the digital totem ensured that it could be mounted on a concrete pad.
Visitors arriving at King’s Lynn train station can now be updated in real time with events, train information and other relevant information without the need to replace signage.
