Originally opened in 1846 and named after the then Prime Minister Sir Robert Peel, Peel Park is a public urban park in Salford, Greater Manchester, located on the flood plain of the River Irwell adjacent to the University of Salford.
In 2017 Peel Park in Salford, Greater Manchester underwent a major refurbishment with Heritage Lottery funding and isGroup were successful in bidding for the signage due to our ability to provide cost-effective wayfinding signage utilising our own WAY2GO system.
In total four 2.8 metre WAY2GO monoliths were manufactured with Verometal painted bronze effect side panels engraved with the historical quatrefoil path shape, used as a symbol for the park. The infill panels were painted and printed depicting historical facts and locations of interest.
To complement the scheme 3no lecterns were manufactured. The stanchions were painted with Verometal bronze, with an aluminium frame painted in green with digitally printed graphics to the face panels depicting historical information.
Near the waterside unique bronze bird identifiers were installed at floor level. All of the work was installed ready for the re-opening of the park in the Spring of 2018.
