isGroup successfully tendered for the manufacture of new entrance signage at the Bond Court city centre offices.
Project Delivery
The team produced a six-metre high entrance sign that displayed Bond Courts’ branding on all four sides. The sign featured internal LED illumination and was finished in an Anthra-Zinc paint to complement the office building’s new façade.
Following an initial site survey, it became clear that the existing base conditions and retaining wall would not support the weight of the new sign structure. As isGroup is a BS EN1090-2 accredited company, the team was able to advise on a safe fixing method, which consisted of providing a base plate extension to lift the sign above the height of the existing wall.
To complete the signage elements for the project, a set of mirror-reflective stainless steel letters were fixed to the building with halo illumination. The letters reach an impressive 18 metres in height with a width of just over two metres. Such an installation required the team to liaise with the local Council and Transport Officers and obtain permits, due to the busy public area. The installation team are qualified for Streetworks, holding NRWSA qualification and working at height.
