isGroup manufactured and installed the signage at the public viewing platform at Colwick Fish Pass.
This was a complex project which required detailed planning and regular communication to ensure that the project ran to schedule, within budget and met the clients standards . Designed by the
renowned artist Steve Pardue of Differentia, the public viewing platform at Colwick Fish Pass stands as a testament to artistic ingenuity and functionality.
Colwick Fish Pass spans an impressive 200 meters in length, with dimensions of 6 meters in width and 6 meters in depth. It comprises a network of 21 ascending chambers, interconnected by narrow slots, facilitating the seamless movement of various fish species through its course. As guests stand upon the mesh flooring, they are afforded a captivating vantage point, allowing them to peer down into the intricate passageway where fish traverse along the River Trent.
The signage for this project comprises of seven primadura printed aluminium panels which display information and insights for visitors about the diverse aquatic life thriving within the pass’s waters.
Along the top of the centre sign there are brushed stainless steel letters on backing letters bonded to a brushed cutout header panel. The wavy panel along the bottom of the viewing platform was split into six sections and is 3mm brushed stainless steel etched with a natural fill and no fill. This panel is topped with a 5mm clear acrylic reverse printed vinyl graphic with a 2mm brushed stainless steel trim.
