During the renovation of the Westgate Shopping Centre in Oxford, Westgate Oxford Alliance appointed isGroup to manufacture and install illuminated wayfinding signs, digitally printed supergraphics and car park signage.
isGroup managed the process from start to finish, sourcing materials that reflected the branding for the centre, producing samples and installing the final designs.
It’s all about the Supergraphics
As part of the interior of the centre, isGroup produced a set of digitally printed supergraphics to be used as wall features, realistic floor effects, temporary hoarding banners and as window graphics for vacant store units.
The team successfully printed graphics to 2,000 square-metres of banner material to dress hoarding, erected by Sabian Projects. Over 500 square-metres of window vinyls were also commissioned and installed using designs provided by Dandy Creative.
With timings being extremely tight for the project, the project management team were often tasked with turning around additional graphics and print jobs with a 24 hour turn-around time. One job in particular saw 200 vinyl stickers printed and delivered to site on the same day, just two days from the official opening.
During the final hours leading to the official opening of the Westgate Shopping Centre, the project managers and installations team worked tirelessly into early hours to complete the application of the last-minute vinyl stickers and any finishes required to the supergraphics.
Westgate Shopping Centre opened its doors to Oxford city centre on 24th October.
