isGroup were appointed to enhance the quality of the wayfinding signage throughout the scheme to provide better accessibility to the shops as well as other local amenities. Design agency, Imageworks created a new brand identity for Charter Place and isGroup were delighted to be appointed to manufacture and install the bespoke wayfinding totems and entrance signage.
The signage scheme comprises of six striking wayfinding totems, two of which include high-tec fully integrated touch screen units to offer public simple and effective navigation. Each stand-alone totem consists of painted folded aluminium panels with aperture cut lettering reading ‘Charter Place,’ backed with opal acrylic, internally illuminated with white LED modules and presenting either touch screens or simple visual maps.
The new signage scheme has revitalised and enhanced the town centre’s wayfinding signage. The touch screens provide the shoppers with information on the Charter Place retailers, local amenities as well as travel information.
“The new info-pods have a simple interface, from which shoppers can find out train times, view traffic updates and find the nearest cash point and search for shops.
