In early 2018, isGroup successfully tendered for the signage works at the Tunsgate Quarter Shopping Centre, in the historic town of Guildford. This new major 8000sq ft new shopping and retail scheme is home to many the brands and restaurants and boasts an impressive atrium and two new shopping levels.
isGroup provided a dedicated Project Manager who worked closely with leading Designers, FRA Creative, and delivered the project within a tight timescale – it was critical that the signage was in place ready for the opening of the shopping centre on March 15th 2018.
The signage design included a range of customised built up vertically-aligned aluminium letters with a feature soft halo illumination at the main entrance. For the internal sign requirements, isGroup provided internal retail store directories, vinyl door graphics and floor level wayfinding signs together with two illuminated monolith signs manufactured from durable steel and aluminium, customised with granite panels to the base and the illuminated top sections are manufactured by 3Form in a Matt Vellum finish. To complete the internal signage scheme, isGroup manufactured 24 glass signs with vinyl graphics applied displaying tenant details. Three internally illuminated directories was also produced in spray painted light bronze finish.
On-brand glazing manifestations were used at the alternative entrance, with an additional set of halo illuminated built up letters installed onto a dark grey panel. To complete the external signage, isGroup produced car park signs to navigate visitors to the entrance and exit.
isGroup completed CAD drawings and the external built up letters were installed at high level, above the main entrance of the shopping centre. All in all, another project isGroup was delighted to be involved in.
