In 2017 we were approached by CBRE to design a modern refurbishment to the existing 7.5 metre double sided totem. Additionally, our client wanted new signage for the remainder of the site to continue the branding.
Following on from discussions, the scheme was completed in two phases
The first phase in 2017 was the refurbishment. This consisted of removing all of the existing panels and electrics, so allowing for repainting of the internal sub frame. All new folded aluminium panels were painted to the new colour scheme with LED internal illumination installed on site. Each tenant panel was produced with UV digitally printed branding onto clear vinyl with a grey panatrim frame. To the base of the sign a timber feature was manufactured to obscure the lower steel structure and electrics.
In 2018 the scheme continued with the manufacture of new signage consisting of one double sided illuminated totem approximately 8000mm x 2400 mm, one double sided sign 5500 mm x 1800mm and 2 no smaller double sided monoliths 2000 mm x 800mm.
A site survey was conducted of the area and the CAD manufacturing drawings were sent for a structural engineer’s report. The signs were manufactured in-house to the BSEN1090-2 standard to ensure CE marking for structural steelwork.
isGroup was appointed as Principal Contractor to liaise and oversee the groundworks, concrete base and the trenching and electrics completed by other contractors.
The final installation was completed by the isGroup installation team.
