Project Description

Following a major rebrand brief for the Priory Fields Retail Park, isGroup was appointed by property managers, MJ Mapp, to both design and deliver a retail signage scheme that reflected the retail park‰’s new, modern look.

Our in-house design team was tasked with creating a fresh, simple and stylish identity for the park, which at the time only had one out-dated and tired-looking v-angle totem in its existing scheme.

‰”The Priory Fields Retail project was an exciting and challenging project, especially with the deadline to be ready in time for the busy festive period. Our team pulled out all the stops to ensure shoppers were greeted by bright, modern signage highlighting new and existing tenants” – Jac Lloyd Jones, Account Manager, isGroup

Planning and Safety

As designs were created and ahead of organising plant equipment, isGroup arranged for structural calculations to be completed for both the rejuvenation of the existing totem and the installation of a new one. This ensured the groundworks were structurally sound for the new totem and that the existing steelwork on the v-angle totem was suitable to accept isGroup’s refresh solutions, adhering to BS EN1090-2 standards.

Furthermore, isGroup managed the planning application process for both totem signs, liaising directly with planning officers to hit a tight 6 week turn-around from the start of the planning process, in line with both the start of the busy festive period and the opening of new retail tenants.

Rebranded Identity

The entrance to the retail park was given a new lease of life through the installation of a new five metre totem sign that presented the park’s rebranded identity with updated tenant logos on both sides and stand-out LED illuminated ‰’Priory Fields Retail Park’ lettering.

The existing v-angle retail totem also underwent a full isGroup refurbishment, by fixing new aluminium cladding to the existing steel framework and introducing internal illumination. Tenant logos were updated and the park‰’s new branding was displayed on both sides of the sign.
