Project Description

isGroup was appointed as Principal Contractor to manufacture and install lighting and wayfinding signage at the O2 Centre, London.

The contract involved the supply of five sets of letters and logos depicting the tenants on the main external entrance. As Principal Contractor, isGroup liaised with the client and the Centre management personnel directly, and took responsibility for the induction and supervision of other contractors who were installing electrical cabling on site, ready for the signage. isGroup’s Site Manager who is SMSTS trained.

Other works included the sign manufacture and installation of three WAY2GO directory monolith signs, customised with an orange illuminated side panel to complement the O2 Centre’s branding and featured mapping and floor identifiers to direct visitors and staff. To complete the new signage scheme, external brand banner signs were installed to the building columns to identify tenants and navigate to the car park entrance.

Following the successful completion of the scheme isGroup re-attended the O2 Centre to remove the outdated existing internal perimeter lighting around the central glass dome and replace with the installation of 110 metres of modern RGB LED neon lighting, maintaining the brands’ colour scheme.

The customised signage and lighting solutions provided by isGroup has revamped the shopping centre and improved the visitor experience.
