In 2017 isGroup worked with contractor Caddick Construction and regeneration specialist St Modwen, on its development of Great Homer Street in Liverpool. The 45-acre site included a retail park with entrance signage and directional totems in blocks A, B and Y.
The “Welcome to” branded entrance sign was manufactured from flat faced 316 marine grade brushed stainless steel with internal halo illumination, using SLoan LED’s with opal diffuser polycarbonate back-trays. The overall width of the sign was almost 6 metres.
A site survey to identify site locations and access requirements preceded manufacture of both the entrance sign and totems. Structural calculations were produced to comply with BSEN1090-2 requirements.
The specification for totems included the use of digitally printed wood effect cladding to complement the wood used in the surrounding buildings. The installed totems were manufactured to BSEN 1090 standard and included illuminated fret cut headers backed with acrylic with UV printed vinyl applied and white LED illumination in both front and rear header sections and tenant panels.
Installation took place during normal working hours and the isGroup teams used high access machinery. isGroup is accredited with CHAS and Safe Contractor and is a Constructionline Gold Member. The company is a member of the British Safety Council and is one of a very small number of signage companies to be BSEN1090-2 accredited, meaning they are able to CE mark their structures. isGroup takes the safety of its staff, its clients and the public in general very seriously.
