On Thurs 27th Sept 2018 – a day ahead of the official Macmillan Cancer Coffee Morning and scheduled early to ensure the maximum number of colleagues were able to attend, isGroup held its’ second fund raising coffee morning.
This nationwide event that raises funds so that people with cancer don’t have to face it alone, was all the more poignant this year with the isGroup team. A key member of the company, Paul Dyke, Sales Director has been through his own unexpected cancer journey these last 4 months and only recently returned to work after significant surgery. It was indeed good to see Paul tucking in to some of the many cakes that the team had been busy baking the night before. What’s more, the day coincided with his birthday – so happy birthday Paul from all at isGroup!
Aside of the baking, the isGroup team got stuck into the games to include guessing the length of the veggie bake and being blindfolded to play “Place the Cherry on the Gateau”. The amount raised so far stands at £107.35 and donations are still coming in. This was up on last year and so the team looks forward to doing it all again in 2019!
If you didn’t get around to holding your own Macmillan Coffee Morning but would like to donate to ours, please Gary Hughes in Finance at isGroup who works Tues, Wed & Thurs.
