Client: Simons
Developments
Project: Marriott's Walk development in Witney,
Oxford
1st Brief: IS Group were commissioned by Simons
Developments to design and implement a family of signs to fit in
with the surroundings at Simons new development, Marriott's
Walk.
Solution: IS Group worked closely together with the local
planning authority and Simons design team to implement a family of
signs for the new Marriott's Walk development and the 500 space car
parking facility. The task set to us by the client was to
have the designs fit in with the more "old world" theme at one side
of the development and to have a more modern feel in the signs
situated at the other end of the development.
The scheme consisted of a three metre illuminated totem sign, two
finger post signs, approximately 250 way-finding and legality signs
within the car park, public toilet signs, management suite sign,
and all the statutory signs to both the car park and service yard
areas.
2nd Brief:The Simons team were concerned about the
units there were yet to be let on the development and didn't want
to have the basic wooden hoarding in place on such a prestigious
site.
Solution:IS Group designed and implemented a set
of fictitious shop fronts designed to fit in with Simons shop front
guide. The designs were printed onto both a composite
material and a banner material and fixed into position to hide the
wooden hoardings.
Result: All signs in place and on budget ready for
their open day. The site was opened by The Rt Hon David Cameron MP
for Witney.
