Client: Land Securities
Project: Corby Town Centre, Wayfinding
Brief: Corby Town Centre needed an effective
and eye-catching wayfinding and signage scheme to coincide with the
new Willow Place Shopping development. The scheme would need to
link the established Town Centre to guide and navigate the public
effectively.
Solution: IS Group developed a wayfinding
strategy, full mapping detail and unique identity for the scheme
taking into account the modern brand of Willow Place, however
keeping the design sympathetic to be in keeping with the older part
of the town. A range of signage design proposals were put forward
to the client to consider.
Once the client choose and approved the signage scheme design,
full manufacture of signage was completed in-house which enabled us
to provide the highest standard of quality. The scheme consisted of
six striking double sided wayfinding units comprising of a
contrasting colour scheme, contemporary and durable materials such
as 316 stainless steel and toughened glass housing wayfinding
information. Advanced manufacturing techniques were used such as
laser cutting during manufacture.
The installation team installed the signage ensuring all signage
was in place within the agreed timescales and ground work was
re-instated to a high quality finish
Result: IS was chosen as the preferred supplier
to design, manufacture, and install the signage. IS also sourced
additional items such as safety mirrors and steel bollards.
