Leading UK construction and regeneration group, Morgan Sindall, has awarded a significant contract to isGroup as part of its £27m North West Batch of Priority School Building Programme.
isGroup emerged on top after a rigorous tender process and will provide signage throughout the new buildings Morgan Sindall are constructing for some of the schools across the North West most in need of repair and renewal.
Blacon High School in Chester, Plymouth Grove in Manchester, Bedford Drive on the Wirral and Haweside Academy in Blackpool are just some of the schools targeted by the project.
Working alongside Morgan Sindall, isGroup devised a consistent look and wayfinding strategy to make it easy for pupils, staff and visitors to find classrooms, sports halls and offices using aluminium panels and vinyl graphics.
Illuminating the class
The strategy included the design and installation of floor-level indicators, interchangeable units for teaching spaces and LED illuminated entrance signs on post mounts.
isGroup also created illuminated main entrance and external signage, including individual building-mounted letters and statutory safety signs.
To date almost 1,000 signs have been installed.
“Working with Morgan Sindall on this extensive project has given us the chance to really exercise our team’s expertise in wayfinding for education establishment, as well as creating solutions that can be easily rolled out across multiple sites.” – Jac Lloyd Jones, Account Manager, isGroup.
