Project: Eagles Meadow Shopping & Leisure
Complex, Wrexham
Brief: To manufacture and install the signage
package throughout the new £100m complex. This included bespoke
stainless steel feature totems comprising of slate, stainless steel
and glass. A series of way finding directories and illuminated
letters identifying the complex.
Solution: Working alongside Air Design,
designers of the brand and signing scheme, we added valuable input
into the detail design of the signs and produced quality samples
promptly and efficiently. Structural drawings were completed to
ensure the signage could be manufactured and installed within the
agreed time limit and budget.
Using Solid Works technology we created 3D manufacturing
drawings of the totems for approval prior to manufacture and
sourced the slate and glass locally.
Our highly skilled Production team then brought the designs to
life utilising our in-house capabilities. We solved the external
signage challenge by manufacturing the curved totems. The external
letters were internally illuminated using LED's. The wayfinding
directories were screen printed and carried the brand through
A dedicated installation team installed the signage ensuring all
signage was in place for the grand opening to navigate shoppers
around the complex, inter-connecting streets and pedestrianised
open spaces.
Result: The end result is elegant and
functional signage, especially designed to complement the vibrant,
contemporary surroundings of the new shopping centre. The striking
totems incorporate slate and glass with halo illuminated fret-cut
letters detailing the brand. With the external letters identifying
the centre have matching halo illumination. The series of modern
screen-printed wayfinding directories naturally guide shoppers.
