Project: Charter Place, Watford Town
Centre.
Brief: Watford Borough Council as part of a
general refurbishment programme required an improved brand identity
for Charter Place Shopping Centre as well as enhancing the quality
of the way finding through out the scheme to provide better
accessibility to the shops as well other local amenities.
Solution: Design Agency Imageworks created a
new brand identity for Charter Place and IS Group were delighted to
be appointed to manufacture and install the bespoke wayfinding
totems and entrance signage.
The signage scheme comprises of six striking wayfinding totems,
two of which include high-tech fully integrated touch screen units
to offer the public simple and effective navigation. Each
stand-alone totem consists of painted folded aluminium panels with
aperture cut lettering reading 'Charter Place,' backed with opal
acrylic, with flush inset letters and internally illuminated with
white LED modules and presenting either touch screens or simple
visual maps.
Result: The new signage scheme has revitalised
and enchanced the Town Centre 's way finding signage and the touch
screens provide the shoppers with information on the Charter Place
retailers, local amenities as well as travel information.
