Client: Albert Dock Company / Gower Street
Estates
Project: Re-brand the Albert Dock in Liverpool,
a world heritage site and leading UK attraction.
Brief: IS Group were commissioned as Principal
Contractor to manufacture and install boundary signage and a new
way finding scheme.
Solution: IS Group collaborated closely with
the leading way finding and graphic design consultancy Holmes Wood,
to ensure their designs for the site were manufactured to superior
standards for this high profile environment.
The scheme comprised of six, nine metre boundary signs, twelve
promotional banner poles for varying events, five welcome signs and
ten bespoke double and four sided directional monoliths with poster
cases and map cases. All signage was internally illuminated with a
low level LED system.
As Principal Contractor IS Group also acted as CDM co-ordinator,
maintaining the Health and Safety file with method statements and
risk assessments. Our dedicated on site project management team
supervised other contractors to ensure a successful completion of
the scheme.
Result: A new outstanding signage scheme
incorporating The Albert Dock's new brand, the project was
completed on time and within budget.
Joe Edge, Director of The Albert Dock
Company:
"The Albert Dock can be a complex place to work due to its Grade
1 listed heritage status and its constant operation as the most
visited tourist attraction in Liverpool.
Your team has worked tirelessly within these restraints to
ensure that the signage around the Dock has been delivered on time
and with minimum effort.
I would not hesitate in recommending you and your team to any
other client and may I wish you every success for the future."
Alexandra Wood, Director,
Holmes-Wood:
"Thank you for all your hard work manufacturing and installing
the Albert Dock Sign Scheme. As you know, it was an incredibly
important project for all involved and the whole of your team
really rose to the challenge.
It was great for Holmes Wood to work with a company that
accepted that only the highest standards would be acceptable. We
are all very pleased with the outcome."
