Project: Abode Hotel & Michael Caines
Restaurant, Chester
Brief: To manufacture and install the signage
scheme for the new luxury four star Abode Hotel, including Michael
Caine's Champagne Bar and Restaurant situated within Chester's
recent multimillion HQ complex adjacent to Chester racecourse.
Solution: The IS Group collaborated closely
with the client and the appointed design and advertising agency
Chalk & Ward to ensure their designs were manufactured to a
superior standard for this prestigious environment.
The scheme comprised of external wayfinding and high level
external signage which had to be installed retrospectively, with an
individually designed steel fixing bracket to the glass balcony.
The internal signage included guest bedrooms, wayfinding, meeting
room signage and window manifestations. Part of the internal
signage consisted of a bespoke highly polished black tamper proof
system that appears ultra slick and contemporary which compliments
the luxurious surroundings.
Result: An exceptional signage scheme which
delivers precise ambience for its residents. Our approach ensured
that the project was delivered on time and within budget whilst
ensuring quality and entirety for the opening.

the Abode Hotel in Chester which is situated beside the racecourse
on the site of the old Police Headquarters. It is the fifth Abode
in the hotel group and launched to acclaim in May of this year -
